Peer Support Specialist
Willie Cannon
Willie James Cannon III is a Peer Support Specialist at the Veterans One-stop Center, and an Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran who served in Afghanistan with the Army National Guard. A social work major at Buffalo State University, Willie is dedicated to supporting fellow Veterans in their journey toward wellness and resilience. As a proud father of four, he balances his professional mission with his role as a committed family man, striving to make a positive impact both at home and in his community.
Peer Support Specialist
Rick Ammerman
Rick Ammerman, NYSCPS-P, is a dedicated Peer Support Specialist certified in New York State. A proud Air Force Veteran, he is committed to empowering and assisting Veterans. Rick draws on his professional training and his personal journey of recovery from alcoholism and trauma to provide empathetic guidance and foster a supportive sense of community for his fellow Vets. Rick is passionate about promoting their resilience and wellness.
Peer Support Specialist
Katrina Ciesinski
Katrina Ciesinski is a 33-year-old mother of two twin boys, and is a self-described people-person. She equally enjoys the social aspect of her job as well as the opportunity to connect Veterans and their families with resources and services they need. Katrina will be creating free meaningful events that are specifically family-centered for Veterans and their families in Erie and Niagara counties.
Peer Support Specialist
Kayla Petteway
Having dedicated over a decade of her life to the United States Navy, serving 11 years active duty, she is a beacon of resilience and service. Kayla transitioned to a new mission: supporting her fellow Veterans in their journey back to civilian life. Drawing upon her own experiences and understanding of the unique challenges faced by those who have served, she became a Peer Support Specialist at the Veteran One-Stop Center. In this role, Kayla provides guidance, encouragement, and friendship to her fellow Veterans as they navigate the complexities of life after the military. With her compassionate heart and unwavering dedication, Kayla continues to serve her country and her comrades in a different capacity, ensuring that no Veteran is left behind.
